Here at Chill Factore, we opened up our doors to Saint Bernard dogs, their owners and fan's of the breed when we launched our first ever doggy café on REAL snow! The pop-up café which took place on 10th December allowed each visitor and their furry friend 30 minutes of fun on the snow and a selection of treats.
Can you take dogs on ski lifts?
Don't assume you can take your dog on the slopes
If thinking of taking a dog on the mountain, it's essential to research your resort. Taking dogs on regular ski lifts is largely banned, although some resorts allow them on the lifts hikers are allowed to take.
Can you take your dog snowboarding?
Make sure you're on terrain in your ability level. Start simple on a smaller slope going slow, especially if you're with a puppy. Puppies shouldn't overexert themselves so, unless you must, only go for a very short day or be prepared to carry your dog (if it's well within your ability level).
What do I need to wear for Chill Factor?
You'll need thick socks and gloves (compulsory). Please bring snow boots, wellies or walking boots for activities on the Snow Park, you can hire these from us if you do not have anything suitable. You can book clothing and and boot rental here.

Inspect their paws and practice using dog booties to protect them from ski edges and use wax to keep paws from cracking. A snow jacket designed for dogs will also keep them warm and dry. Keep the outings short and build your way up! Slow down and check in with your dog on the downhill and look for signs of stress.

For your dog, skiing is going to be an off-leash activity. Definitely, practice good trail manners. If your dog goes to the bathroom while you're skiing, make sure you pick it up. You do not want your dog's poo to stick to others' skis.

Is Camelback resort pet friendly?
For the health and comfort of all our guests, we do not allow any pets into the Lodge. Service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed in the resort, except in the pools and attractions of the waterpark.
